Bonus beer review for Craft Beer Week, Stone 6th anniversary porter
Pours an opaque color with minimal head that fades quickly. The porter smells sweet. The roasted malts dominate. The taste is complex. There is a nice smokey flavor to it. You can tell that they go heavier on the malt and hops than their traditional smoked porter. It has an earthy taste to it and finishes with a smooth sweetness. This porter is hoppier than any that I have ever had. It paired well with my dinner of steak and asparagus and was delicious alone. I give this beer 9.2 pints out of 10, drink up!
