The Developers of the Crash N.Sane Trilogy have admitted that there was some tweaks that were made to the original game that has slightly increased its difficulty. Thanks to the fact that “the game engine features a different collision system than the original game.” They go on to say that this causes certain jumps to “require more precision.”
This is the best news I’ve seen all day. Crash is one of those games that is extremely fun to go back to and play, but I had never thought to jump on chat boards and hear other people’s opinion on the remaster. I was grateful for it and just enjoyed the game. Having said that, I completely felt like there were points that just seemed downright harder than the original. I had told myself that it must just be rust since Vicarious Vision already stated that they would be using the exact same layouts as the original.
For what it’s worth, the Crash Bandicoot Remaster is still 100% worth getting to revisit or play for the first time. Just try not to feel bad if you die during some of the trickier jumps.
