Waiver Wire Week 3

Jarvious Allen RB BAL(10%) – It didn’t take long for us to have a player appear twice as a key waiver wire pickup. “Buck” picked up right where he left off in week 1. He finished week 2 with 66 yards rushing, 35 yards receiving which includes a receiving touchdown. While he is still splitting time with Terrance West, Allen is clearly the back to own in the Baltimore backfield. He’s especially valuable in PPR leagues. He should be considered a high upside RB3.

Chris Carson RB SEA (7%)- While he isn’t the Seattle running back I was expecting to talk about, he quickly became the Seattle running back I had to talk about. Carson has quickly become a must own. He looked decisive and explosive with the ball in his hands, and he seems to have a stranglehold on the touches out of the Seahawk backfield as he finished week 2 with 20 carries for 93 yards.. Rawls may continue to get more and more looks as he is coming back from injury, but I don’t expect Carson to give up the job anytime soon. He’s quickly establishing himself as a Low RB2/RB3.

Rashard Higgins WR CLE (0.1%)- Where the hell did Higgins come from? I mean, it is Cleveland so I’m sure they will fuck this up, but he looks like the number 1 they have been looking from since Braylon Edwards(?). With Britt struggling, and Coleman out with a broken hand, Higgins will get plenty of targets which should hopefully give him a high floor. For now treat him as a WR4 with very high upside.

JJ Nelson WR ARI (7%)- John Brown is made of glass, and Larry Fitzgerald isn’t the guy he once was. With Palmer starving for someone to make plays, Nelson delivered with a monster week 2 as he finished the game with 120 yards on 5 catches with a touchdown. The Cardinals are hoping that Nelson can continue to develop into a weekly threat, and they will give him plenty opportunities to do so. For now, He’s a WR3 with solid upside.

Jason Witten TE DAL (69%)- I very rarely put someone on here that has an ownership % of over 50-55%. With that said, go get Jason Witten now. He is clearly Dak’s most trusted weapon, and should get an extremely high volume of targets. At this moment, he should be considered a weekly low end TE1.

Continue keeping an eye on Cooper Kupp as he continues to get a solid number of looks each week. Also Keep an eye on Jermaine Kearse. Even though he’s on a terrible team someone has to score. Don’t they?
